Our service manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of customer service and job quality is delivered on every contract we fulfil. Your role as service manager involves taking before & after photos of every project, completing jobs solo or with a helper, keeping tabs on stock of materials & equipment in the work vehicle, ensuring safety of self and helper(s) by following & enforcing safe work practices, delivering friendly & helpful customer service, and reporting/checking-in regularly to the main office.
The service manager can be expected to complete roof moss removal, roof moss treatment, gutter cleaning, gutter flushing, and exterior gutter detailing. A proven track record of friendly customer service & experience conducting these tasks or related roofing work is required to apply for this role. We are also willing to train into this position if you have experience as an excellent customer service person and wish to learn the roof & ladder portion of the work.

As our MossAway™ Service Manager you are the face of our company and can expect to be held to high standards.
MossAway™ is committed to matching the the importance of your role within our company with generous compensation. The right candidate can expect to make between $300 - $400 per day in base commission, plus customer satisfaction and completion time bonuses. There is a 3 month probationary period during which time you can expect to earn an hourly wage between $20 - $25 per hour, during which time you will receive training & support working directly under the owner, himself.
In an ideal year, the right fit for this position can expect to make between $48,000 - $68,000 annual salary, plus bonuses.
MossAway™ operates from March 1st until November 31st. The service manager can expect to work 4-6 days per week, depending on job completion times. Our office team schedules jobs for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday and Saturday as flex days. Flex days are days intentionally left open to allow for flexing of our schedule due to weather delays/rescheduling, job overruns, rush jobs as needed, or filling additional hours at your request.
Our helpers/labourers are expected to assist in completing projects under the guidance of the service manager or team lead. In this position you can expect to complete services such as roof moss removal, roof moss treatment, gutter cleaning, gutter flushing, and exterior gutter detailing. Experience on rooftops, or in positions requiring fall arrest, is an asset. Training provided for those without certificate/training or experience.
Depending on your location, you may be required to arrive at the office to get picked up by your team lead to start your day, so reliable transportation may be required. Please note that punctuality is extremely important. Tardiness will not be tolerated.
MossAway™ compensates our helpers at above industry standard rates. We expect professionalism, respectfulness, and good work ethic at all times. The right fit for this position can expect to make $18 - $20 per hour. There is a 3 month probationary period during which time you can expect to make $16/h while we train, certify, and evaluate your work performance. For candidates with previous experience and training this probationary wage may be waved, however your 3 month probation and performance evaluation will still apply.
In an ideal year, the right fit for this position should expect to make around $26,000 per year. Yearly bonuses and raises available based on performance reviews.
